Studying in Norway – University of Agder
Agder University is not offered courses as well as any academic degree in English. All language program is required a Norwegian proficiency, therefore you have to meet the requirements of the Norwegian.
University of Agder (UIA) is located at the southern tip of Norway and is located in two facilities of Kristiansand and Grimstad.
The University has 11,000 students and 1,100 staffs and faculties. It is one of the youngest universities in Norway, but the school has a long history from 1839 when the first facility of teacher training in the region was established. It is a public university with artistic architecture in both establishments. Research is the foundation of all teaching activities at the UIA and includes a wide range of subjects.
It is a motivation for the development of society and the region, the University of Agder has a close contact with the industry, institutions and cultural organizations. It is a University of International orientation in an area subject to strong international competition.
The core values of the University of Agder are: transparency, reliability, integrity, generosity and cooperation. These values are reflected in a flat organizational structure encouraging students, faculty and researchers to interact and inspire each other.
‘Agder’ means “located on the edge” and it is the appropriate name to the university and the double county of Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder located in the southern part of the country. the University of Agder is a young university, It aims at innovation, education and research.
Agder University is offered 14 specialized doctors and 33 masters programs and 44 undergraduate programs. It is provided short training programs, as well as available on long-term courses. UIA is large enough to provide variety and challenge, but also small enough for students and faculty which can make their mark.
